New moisturiser
Summer is here and my need for a lightweight moisturiser became urgent. I've always loved Elemis products so I thought I'd give this a whirl and it's really rather nice. As always with Elemis, it smells lovely and sinks in like a dream but no greasiness. No SPF though which I forgot about as I went on my annual walk (I am not a walker) yesterday and burned my face. Probably about 10 years of ageing right there. Oh well.

I got through a tube of this last year, and agree it's lovely but, like you, can't be doing with no SPF, so I've moved onto the Origins one you recommended which I LOVE!
Do you use the Origins one with anything else? I need more moisture in my life than that alone you see. Am using Elemis as a nightcream now.
The warmth of the day/night dictates the cream I use (as I find my face sweats under most moisturisers in warm conditions. What a thing to admit ;0). In these warm days I use Boot P&P serum or (after a long night) Clarins Beauty Flash, followed by Origins GinZing on my eyes and Vita Zing which, as you say, is THE most amazing tinted moisturiser which also evens out my skin tone in a way that old one didn't. The in the evening I am trying out the Estee Lauder night time recovery serum (my skin seems to eat it up), followed by 'Starting Over' liberally slathered over, and I am waking up with plumper, brighter skin. It really is noticeable. On cold days though, I use 'Starting Over' during the day. For absorbtion, I would definitely choose the Elemis one over Origins, but it's a big FAIL that it doesn't have SPF in. Silly really, as it's pegged as a day time moisturiser! PS I am now tempted to try the Estee Lauder night time recovery just for eyes. I have been putting GinZing on at night too as my eyes seem to appreciate that little bit of extra moisture overnight, but I have seen some rave reviews about the EL serum, so am considering it...
What a wonderfully rounded answer Jenni! I would expect no less of course. I am pretty sure Elemis will try and sell you a separate SPF thus doubling the cost which is annoying. VitaZing really is a miracle product isn't it? I am so glad you love it too.
I love it, and at least 3 of mu chums have now been converted to it too! And FYI, I have just ordered the Jemima Kidd Iris Enhancers for brown eyes - what a wonderful idea! I can't wait to try it! x
Let me know what you think. x
