Pierre Hardy for NARS

To say I want this is an understatement. I don't just want it, I am thinking about it pretty much constantly and won't rest until some of these babies are in my life. A collection of nail varnishes, sold in pairs that come as if they are shoes in a dust bag and a little box. It's so covetable and necessary to one's well being.

I want this one the most:

And I want this one too:

And then I want this:

Simply and utterly, all divine.

My Bobbi Brown order

I promised you an update. I have to say BB excels itself on customer service, I did this order online because I received a promotional email saying order over £75 worth of goods (hardly a difficult task) and they'd send a complimentary make-up palette. As you know, I can never resist a) a freebie and b) a make up palette. So onto the site I went and this is what I bought:

Luxe Sparkle Powder. Look, I don't know why ok? Except LOOK AT IT! It's beautiful. It comes in a shiny silver box that closes with a satisfying magnetic click. It has the finest texture imaginable and you dust it on and look better immediately. Less is definitely more and I believe it's aimed at brides but what the hell, I wanted it. Perfect for summer holidays and dusting of collar bones. I am loving it and it's sold out now so even if you want one - ha!

Summer is coming. No, it really is. And I need a new serious SPF for ummm, those hot sweltering days we have. At the very least I have a week in Spain so hey ho, I can use it there. I've road tested this already and it smells heavenly and sinks in beautifully so I'm a fan.

Then I ordered some more hydrating gel cream which I can't recommend enough, it gives you the perfect base for make-up and just works.

Here are the freebies I received:

Yes, all that. The palette is really nice, gorgeous colours. Eye make-up remover, a make-up brush, a mascara and a whole stash of sachets. Plus free P&P.

This is how you do it. No wonder Bobbi Brown is doing so well.

Nail colour of the week

This colour is called Headmistress which I think is a great name. It's a beautiful red, I've had loads of compliments, it's a true, classic red. Very nice.

In other news, I did a Bobbi Brown order in a moment of weakness. More on that soon.

Nail colour of the week

This week: Bangle Jangle. This is particularly apt for me as I am known for my bangles which do, well, jangle. It's a pretty lilac. It's not earth shattering but I can wear it and pretend it's Spring. Oh if only...

Perfume update and other stories

Today I finally tried the Dries Van Noten perfume at Liberty.

It's £150 for 100ml. Of course it is since I love nothing cheap. Predictably it's divine. Properly gorgeous and very sexy. I think the Malle fragrances have something in common. I am not enough of a nose to identify what it is but this reminded me of Lipstick Rose only more subtle. There is something heavy and sexy going on. I didn't buy it but it's on my list.

I am reliably informed that the Marni perfume is exclusive to Harrods so I've still not tried it yet. Am getting desperate though. the more exclusive something is, the more i want it. I am an advertiser's dream.

Oh, and I bought the Dr Sebaugh deep exfoliating mask (and received samples ahoy). I gave it a whirl when I got home and early signs are extremely promising. It's a gel and you apply a thick layer, wait 10 minutes and rinse off. My skin does look pink and glowing. It's tingles when it's on which is pleasing. I shall keep you posted on whether this is a one-off or necessary to your lives.

What I am lusting after this Spring

Last week Liberty sent me their Spring/Summer beauty brochure. Liberty is probably my favourite beauty hall in London, it's beautifully set out and has unusual and quirky brands. It doesn't have a MAC counter which I love it for. Not that I have anything against MAC but it attracts hoards of teenage girls and it's noisy. Yes, I realise I sound like a grandmother but there you go.

Anyway, I want everything in the brochure obviously but here is my edited list.

Dr Sebagh Deep Exfoliating Mask. It "produces visible results in just one treatment." I am such a sucker but the words "exfoliating" and "mask" in one product has me wanting it.

Aesop Mouthwash. I fully accept that a £17 mouthwash is ridiculous and I will never actually buy this but look at it. It's beautiful.

C.O. Bigelow shower gel. This comes in Almond, Lavender, Lime & Coriander, Rosemary Mint and Grapefruit. The bottle is lovely and those scents all make my pulse race, especially Grapefruit as I am obsessed with Grapefruit scented products.

Guerlain Terracotta Serum tan-prolonging serum. This was in Red magazine. You add a few drops to moisturiser to extends your tan. It looks so pretty and satisfying.

And today I am off to Liberty, just to look around you understand.

Neutrogena Sesame Oil

My skin has never been so dry. After two weeks of blissful sunshine, I've come home to Arctic temperatures and a tan fading fast. It all adds up to my body easily being mistaken for a rough loofah. I tried exfoliating and moisturising but still it was literally cracking up. It's time to get serious so I've called in the oil. Tonight I've had a bath and doused myself with this oil and I am hoping to wake up looking soft and fabulous.

Memo to the weather gods: TIME FOR SPRING. My body can't cope with much more of this.

Eyelash serums and other excitement

It's been a while hasn't it? I'd like to say it's because I have found all my desert island products and have nothing new to...
